Email your MP asking for a more ambitious Boiler Upgrade Scheme

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is one of the government's key tools in supporting the rollout of heat pumps - the key solution to decarbonising heating in the UK. It provides grants of £5,000 for an air source or £6,000 for a ground source heat pump - but is limited to supporting around 30,000 installations a year.

It's great that the Government extended the scheme to 2028 - but it's not enough! We need to see more funding and a more ambitious target, otherwise we are never going to reach the 600,000 a year target by 2028.

We would like to see more than 30,000 heat pumps installed every year under the BUS, building to 100,000 installations a year by 2028. We would like you to encourage the Government to make the BUS more ambitious - and you can help by sending an email to your MP asking for their support.
