Email your MP asking for Zero Carbon to equal Zero VAT

The Government has zero rated VAT on domestic renewables like heat pumps and energy efficiency measures until 31 March 2027. However the current zero rating does not cover the purchase or installation of battery storage, nor the ground works and boreholes that are essential to installing ground source heat pumps, both of which currently attracts a 20% VAT rate. 

As we urgently need to improve our homes to make them fit for the future we are asking for the zero rating of VAT on energy efficiency and domestic renewables to be extended until 31st March 2030, and for the inclusion of battery storage and all ground works associated with installing ground source heat pumps.

We need to put more pressure on Government to make this happen - and you can help by sending an email to your MP asking for their support.
